Cable Gland KIT:
An easier and convenient stocking option to terminate the cable run. Consists of Cable Gland, Shroud, Earth Tag, Lock Nut. The pack consists of one or two kits depending on the size. Generally all the sizes smaller than and including 32 have two kits in a pack, where as above 32 all the packs contain a single kit. The packing may be changed to suit requirement and option. This kit is used for termination of an overhead cable and application is generally outdoors alternatively it is called as outdoor overhead termination kit.

General instructions of use:

• After selecting suitable gland for your application, take out the shroud from the kit.
• Cut the shroud from the closed end just less than the cable OD and slip it over the cable.
• Take the gland out of the pack, remove the lock nut and entry thread body from the gland and tighten/secure it to the equipment/panel using the locknut. Do not forget to secure the earth tag between the entry thread body and equipment/panel body.
• Pass the outer nut, washer, outer body(s), rubber ring(s) over the cable respectively.
• Cut and remove the insulation from the cable for suitable length. Cut the armour to open the inner sheath. Now you should be able to see inner sheath, armour wire/tape/braid and outer sheath.
• Pass the inner sheath of the cable through the entry thread body.
• Secure the armour of the cable between the outer body(s) and entry thread body. In case of the unarmoured cables the outer sheath is secured with entry thread body by outer nut.
• Tighten the outer nut passing over the outer sheath of the cable to now secured body.
• Now the cable is held firmly with the equipment by means of the gland. Pass the shroud over the secured gland.
