XT Glands:
Brass gland for
use with all types of flexible wire braid cable (eg. SY/CY). Used in
applications where it is essential to provide an IP66 seal on the
outer sheath, and clamping of the wire braid for electrical
continuity.
Feathers and Use:
Braided
armour/earth lock. Outer PCP displacement seal concept ensures
effective seal to outer sheath.
Suitable to most
hostile environments. Easy and fast to install.
Entry Threads:
Metric thread
available as standard. Other thread forms e.g. BS Conduit, available
on request.
Accessories:
Shrouds, Earth Tags and
entry thread seal are available. XT glands are supplied complete with
lock nut and washers to complete installation. This gland reference
is not specified in BS6121: Part 1, However it complies in all other
respects with the design and test requirements for type A2 cable
glands which is an equipment design.
Manufactured as
per BS 6121 PT-1. 1989 from bracs as standard material.
